I was so happy to see this family again.  There is something so special to me about documenting families’ lives during their very special moments. The first time I met them, they were two.  They are cute as a button as a threesome, and I can hardly wait to see them when they are four.

I can’t say enough about their little girl.  She is so cute, so friendly, and so eager to earn herself some candy with some sweet poses for the camera ;-) .  She is going to make a wonderful big sister.

And this Daddy?  He’s pretty special too.  I loved watching him care for his girls, yes both of them.

(In case you were wondering, daddy, when you are such a good sport about being photographed, it shows much love to the mommy.  Thanks again!)

I cannot wait to meet to meet your newest little man!

It was bound to happen sometime soon.  This past Saturday was that time.

I had to call and cancel a session because I was sick.

This momma-to-be was so patient and understanding.  I was thankful and happy that she was so flexible and able to reschedule!  This Momma was expecting her second blessing any day, and when she arrived I thought I was looking at someone only midway through her pregnancy!  She looked so great!  I can’t say I wasn’t a little jealous.  After she and I had some fun photographing this precious time in her life, I got to meet her Little Man (and her not so little man since he came with his daddy).  Little Man was a touch nervous to be photographed, so safely he stayed put in his momma’s arms, but we were able to capture some precious playtime between mommy and son.

I just get overwhelmed when I think about how blessed we are as humans to be given the precious gift of parenthood, and for many, not once but a couple (or more) times.

So many things that are special to being new.  So many things that will fade as they grow.  So many things that can be hard to remember, but now will never be forgotten.

I loved meeting you while you were new, sweet Miss “C”.

I have been loving these beauties since before they even took their first breath.  They have an amazing story behind them and have impacted many people in their short little lives. And now, now! They are TWO!  Amazing.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Girls!

Can you tell them apart?

Ya, me neither!  ;-)

While proofing this session, I couldn’t help but think of Psalm 139.

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.”

Psalm 139:13-16 – The Message

This year has already been full of fun families. Families that have grown in numbers, families that have grown in age, and families that have grown in love. Since I was gone from the blogging world for all of January, I thought I would share a little bit of what kept me busy. These are some of my favorites from January:

This little blessing grew a family by two feet:

It’s Here!

January 11, 2009

You may remember that at the end of last year I alluded to something new and exciting. Well, TA-DA! Here it is! I have decided to mesh together my blog and website. I feel like this will be the best way to stay the most current with all my clients.

Here I am able to blog my most recent sessions as well as have up-to-date galleries, pricing, and session info. Before, it was such an undertaking to update my website, and while I loved my old site, something was backwards with our relationship. I’d like to think that now this site works for me instead of the other way around ;-) .

I sure hope you love this place as much as I do! Heather with Lovebugs Photography Designs really worked hard with me in order to get it to work just right, as well as making it look fabulous!

Don’t forget, if you don’t see something, have questions, or would like to set up a session, you can use the contact link at the top of this page or feel free to leave a comment.

Happy New Year!
