Do you remember this sweet boy?

Well, he has grown into the sweetest, roundest, cutest little man.

I swear, these two babies could be totally different babies and I wouldn’t be the wiser. I just can’t believe how much this sweet boy has grown in just three short months!
Do you even know how happy all those sweet rolls make me?

I could eat him up!

Honestly, Mom and Dad, I don’t know how you are ever going to be able to say “No” to a face like this:

Thank you for sharing your sweet boy with me this year! I can’t wait to see him again in three months!
“I love these little people; and it is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us.” -Charles Dickens.

When you become a parent for the first time, you can help but take in all the wonderful details of your child.
Their sweet little fingers:

Their delicious little toes:

And the way they curl up and snooze just about anywhere:

Yes, the first few weeks of parenthood are magic. Weeks go by and you are fully entertained by the deep and profound love you have for your newest little one.

Your Heavenly Father feels the same way about you.
“You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.” Isaiah 43:1-3 NLT

I happily met with yet another baby boy a few weeks ago. So far this year I have photographed only TWO girls! Amazing!
Sweet Boy,
I truly loved meeting you and your family. My goodness everyone is just smitten with you!

Not one of us got bored just looking at you and taking you in.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Thank you for meeting with me.

Meet the “H” Family:

Dad, Mom, and both cutie pie kids met me recently at a local park. While we did many traditional “posed portraits”, I had so much fun during the in between down time:

I think they did too.

I have had a few of these sessions; two just in the past week. Sessions that are about life and marking a moment in time. This session was almost missed (I still feel like I can’t apologize enough), but I am so glad I got to meet this sweet family during this time in their lives. I was able to spend some time with them as they celebrated the last few days of their family being a family of three. While this was a maternity session, I love that it was more of a moment in time session. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to photograph the bellies, I love the studio, and I love to play with dramatic lighting, but I also really love life. I love to watch and reminiscence each stage or season as they are given to us. So I really love sessions that allow me to document just that. Meet the “M” family as they enjoy being just three.

Well, hello! It’s been quite a while since I have been here! I thought I almost forgot the password/login. Alas, I have made my way back after a wee little summer break (except summer doesn’t officially start until tomorrow).
After some time away, I was so happy to have this gorgeous lady to come back to. She and her family are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their little brother. She had been scouting out some maternity photography for a few weeks before hand, and knew exactly what she wanted. It was perfect! To make things even better, God provided us with one of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen in a long while. There were really no words for it.

The fire-y oranges and reds gave off a warmth that was felt all over. Combine that with the intense love this family has for one another, and it was a toasty, cozy evening.
Before the sunset really got fired up:

Just getting warmed up:

And in all His glory:

Glorious!

This weekend I was busy with babies. It was fun and also so fitting that it was Mother’s Day weekend, and here I was spending time with new mommies or mommies who got to be new again. Some of them were getting to celebrate their first Mother’s Day as “Mommy” and others were having their first Mother’s Day as a mom of more than one. What a special day and a chance to celebrate a very special relationship. The bond between mother and child is a powerful one.
These two cuties made this weekend their mommy’s first Mother’s Day weekend. I first photographed these two when they were born, and now I had the opportunity again at six months. I couldn’t believe it when mom contacted me for this session as it felt like I just photographed them fresh and new. Time sure flies! Check out their sweetness now:

I just love how they each have their own look, yet they are so alike there is no mistaking them for sisters.

Such happy babies!

And while I love the happy/smiley pictures, I can’t resist a face that’s full of emotion. Whether it’s curiosity, surprise, or pensiveness they all get me, and I’m a sucker for them.

I know these sweet girl’s fill up both their Daddy’s and their Mommy’s hearts to overflowing.
“Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure; where your treasure, there your heart; where your heart, there your happiness.” –Augustine
Hope you had a GREAT 1st Mother’s Day weekend, “G” Family!

I can’t believe that this spring is already half done! Before we know it, summer will be here. I, for one, CANNOT WAIT. Summer is my most favorite time of year.
At the beginning of this spring, I shared that there would be some new additions to the products/packages line up. Without wasting anymore time, because this is SOOO overdue, I am so happy to announce Been Blessed Studio is now offering Digital Packages.
‘Bout time!
Ahhh, that feels so much better.
Check out the Pricing link up top for more details. (To all my lovely past clients: If you are interested in getting a past session in digital format, please contact me for special pricing)
I guess this is also a good time for me to remind anyone who is wanting to have a session done this year (yes, the rest of 2010), contact me ASAP. I about fell over the other day when I realized I am already booking SEPTEMBER sessions! I feel so blessed!
I can’t wait to see all of you!

Sweet Boy, sometimes we realize we never knew what love was until we had the chance to hold our sweet baby in our arms. As I watched your mom and dad snuggle you, care for you, and gush over you I knew I was witnessing something very special. I was watching two people fall madly in love with you. They were falling into a love that makes your heart feel like it is going to burst. A love that feels so deep you wonder if it is even possible to love deeper. Then you do. A love that makes you wonder, “Where did that come from?” Day after day you fall deeper and deeper. You, Sweet Boy, are wonderfully loved.

“Dear Friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God…God is love.” -1 John 4:7-8
